Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,
I bought my car 2 months ago and out of no where it
starts to over heat. I drive the car and all is fine until you
go over 60 and the temperature needle goes from the
middle and shoots straight over into the red and I loose
some power. As soon as I take my foot off of the
excelerator the needle goes back to the middle of the
temperature again. I’ve checked the coolant and there’s
no smoke appearing from the engine. I took it to a garage
and they said it needed a new radiator so this was
replaced. All was ok for an hour then the same thing
happened again. Please can someone offer me some
advice.
Many thanks

Hi thank you for that but doesn’t mean a lot to me as I don’t know my way around and engine I have to rely on a mechanic. I can get down as far on the chart as no there’s no leak or steam I can see, yes it’s a needle gauge , yes returns to normal if I stay under 60 miles per hour x
