f150 thunmping/banging sound

i have a 2000 f150 4x4 all of a sudden one day when i start or reverse form a
stop it makes a vicous thumping sound, it also does it when turning at slow
speeds. but if i go forward or backwards under 0 pedal it dosnt do it anyone
have any clue what is going on

Driveshaft U joint or driveshaft slip joint. For the slip joint use a good Teflon grease and lube it up. Ford has a TSB out on the slip joint issue.
