99 f150 5.4 single click no start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 99 f150 5.4 and it won’t turn over. In
the past if it didn’t turn over I would wiggle
the positive or negative battery cables and it
would start right up. Now I’ve replaced the
starter and checked the battery and it still
won’t start. All it does is a single click and all
the power to the cab of the truck goes out if I
leave it in the start up position but returns
when I turn it back to a normal position.

Clean and tighten the battery connections! Wiggling them is not enough.

I should have mentioned that I have already cleaned the terminals, and made sure that everything was good and tight
