Check and clean all grounds. The alternator and starter ground through the engine block so it would be a good idea to make sure the mating surfaces are clean. If you have a fender mounted starter solenoid make sure its connection to the body is clean as are the wire connections on it.
If fender mounted solenoid you can jump it momentarily to see if the engine cranks. DO NOT hold the jump until it starts, the starter will not disengage if you hold the connection. Check the net, there is probably a video.
