Cutting wires is NOT the solution. That's for darn sure. Seriously doubt it's a fuel pump problem, he has screwed around with the immobilizer -- anti theft system - and now has opened a can of worms that won't go back in. Is this a real mechanic? in a shop that has been there a while? Or some dude that calls himself a mechanic with no credentials? Let's work from there
Im thinking now he said he was ford certified but PROBABLY Not. I m in Farmington NM and theres not any mechanics I have found that are trust worthy and honest. Im looking at a big repair cost aren't I
You might be, looking at a rather big bill that is...unless you can find a place...even bite the bullet and go to a dealer, that can splice whatever he cut. Unless he really tore it apart. If it was as simple as cutting a wire, what good would the whole system be? Then anybody could cut one wire and steal the truck? Doesn't work that way. Sorry to be such a downer Brenda... this is a thing that you might have to pay up front to get it fixed then sue his ass to recover. Please please tell me he gave you a receipt, work order, something on paper. For the record, I don't usually suggest lawsuits, I have never sued anybody in my life, so you understand that I don't jump in to the legal system on a whim. But you have a legitimate case.
