Are the parts used or are they brand new, have you checked all the ground wires, are all the plugs plugged in, what size engine is in the truck have you checked fuel psi checked the fuel pump maybe it is getting fire but no fuel the three main things an engine needs in order to run is spark fuel and compression check all to make sure u have this maybe the timing is off as well
Have you checked for spark at each wire with a HEI spark detector? They are only about 15 bucks. If you have no spark present begin checking backward toward the distributor. An inexpensive multi- meter is of great use in these type of situations.
yes I have I've I've bought that $15 to at HeI spark detector.I checked all fuses relays spark plugs and brand new tires are brand new distributor is brand new kept everything on that is brand new coil brand new put brand new PCM and still no spark I think I need to get a multimeter so I can check the voltage for everythingI even put in a starter relay newand still have the same problem
If the HEI indicates you have no spark then check all your grounds first. Do the headlights, radio, etc. work when turned on? If so, begin checking with a meter for voltage at the distributor.
okay I will check that I have to go buy a meter to check it I haven't bought a meter yet and when I get it I'll get back to you about my results
I've checked voltage on a multimeterI'm getting good vault everything checks out I'm still getting no spark I change my coil brand new today I change my computer module today hook everything back up check for spark no I didn't check for spark a check for power to see if I was getting power to it and I check for volts I'm still getting volt and power no spot do you think that could be my crankshaft position sensor
Try this if you have checked and you are getting power to the distributor. Remove one of the spark plugs from the distributor and place the HEI spark detector upside down, in the hole for the wire. Have someone crank the engine and observe the detector. If you are not getting a spark from the detector with power to the distributor then the problem is inside the distributor. Also, make sure the rotor inside the distributor is spinning when the engine is cranking.
