I have a 93 Ford pickup with a brand new 5.0 crate motor and a 5 speed. Does it have the power to pull a 30 foot 5th wheel camper? Because im afraid of trying and burning the clutch out.

depends on your gearing and is the truck 4x4,wat cab,and bed length, all of these raise your gvwr. even if it will pull it stopping is the biggest concern

check in the owners manual if you have it,you can also check the factory lable on the driver door, also do a google serch on it.

well it being a 5.0 351 engine the engine will be fine it matters on the tranny and your rear end. i have worked on many vehicle that had snaped the rear end due to the tranny having too much torque and then i have seen tranniey getting fried due to not having enough. while yes having $X$ is a plus in some locations doing long distance driving and towing with it on will ruin the transfercase and will leave you stranded. the best thing to do is got to your local mechanic and have them inspect the vehicle and give you a go or no go at towing.

you really need a diesel engine to pull a 5th wheel trailor,do not recomend you pull it with yours,it will burn up the tranny, plus it may tost your new motor.the F-150 is not built to pull such a load.

Well a 302 can pull more then you think and a diesels not that good a 300 6 cyl will pull just as much at lower rpms and you cant burn up a manual trans you burn the clutch or blow them up. The only think that with stop that truck from pulling the 5th wheel is the spings on the back you would need 3/4 ton springs before i would try it
