I drive a '92 F150. The problem is, when i press the gas from a dead stop, the RPMs shoot down and the engine cuts off. (happens once a day).

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After this happens, when i try to start it again, it wont for about 5 minutes, unless i press the gas petal while trying to start it again. the it takes another few minutes for it to run again smoothly. After this whole process is finished, the engine wont do it again while i'm on the same trip. i would much appreciate a diagnosis. thanks

is it hot or cold motor and how far do you go before it does this???

Fuel pressure regulator, should be to the rear or the intake with 3 little torx screws, but since youre going to depressurise the system change the fuel filter as well, it's on the frame rail drivers side....Sanity
