Hi Bart465, The filter is located on the bottom front of the engine on the passenger side. It's silver and looks like an oil filter cap. This is not your traditional oil filter where you replace the entire unit. You remove the cap, drain the oil, and replace the paper filter element and 2 gaskets. Hope this helps!
2006 RAV4 V6 oil leek any one else having this problem. Can go into more detail with repair history.

When changing the paper oil filter are you required to change out the two rubber gaskets as well ?
You should change both O ring gaskets...make sure they lubricated before righting up so they stay in shape while tighting
2019 Rav hybrid gone back to the better metal filters. Uses 0-16 grade synthetic. Not sure where filter is located though...
