My 2006 Toyota RAV4 is having problems with the heater. It works when you turn the dial to 1 and 2, but not at 3 or 4. Any idea as to what could be the problem? Thank you in advance!

Would you be referring to the fan switch? If so I would suspect there is a break in the switch or maybe the wires to the fan motor

Yes, BURT100, that's what I meant, but I just couldn't find the proper word for it, lol. Thank you! That sounds like it might make sense because when I turned the fan switch to 4 and wiggled it a bit this morning, it made a strange sound and then worked. How would one go about fixing such a problem, or even getting to that part of the vehicle? Thank you very much!

well I would begin with a check of the switch wiring to make sure it is fully attached. My 2006 Toyota Rav4 keys with FOB were run over. The FOB is broken, but the key still works and I have driven it. When I went to get a copy of the key, the locksmith could not make a copy of the computer chip. He mad a copy of the key that I had and that works also. Should I be concerned that at some point the key won't work or car will stop running with this key? 2 Answers

I had to have the engine replaced on my Rav4 & when I got it back from the mechanic, it looked like the engine was hanging to low, when I turn the steering wheel, you can see a little arm move if you're looking under the car at the front end, can you tell me what is wrong here. 3 Answers
