Why was the oil milky after changing the water pump but it wasn't before?

Asked by GuruDTXWF3 Jun 22, 2024 at 11:30 PM about the 2005 Buick LeSabre

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed the water pump on my 2005 Buick le sabre, afterwards the oil was
milky. I checked the oil before and it was not milky. What could have caused it.

you may have a blown head gasket. or an engine block crack. it could be a relatively difficult task of removing the top end of the engine block and simply placing a new head gasket. or maybe not. only way to tell is to take it apart
