Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All lights etc. come on, not out of oil, battery cable smokes when i try to start the car.  During the two weeks before i replaced starter the car sounded like a diesel when idling and driving under 25 mph.

kinda sounds like the fly wheel is loose or out of ballance,,if it was hitting something it would make the starter work harder,,after 25 mph it may flex back to where its should be,,

So far I have found that the a/c compressor is locked up. The car will start without the belt.
