truck starts up fine after sitting over night but after driveing for an hour than
stopping for 30-45 minutes than try to start the truck it will not start unless you
hold the gas peddle to the floor than it starts but you can smell gas comeing
out the exhaust pipes. is this a leaking fuel-injector still putting fuel into motor
after key is off with pressure still in fuel rail

There's also a good chance you're throttle body just needs to be cleaned out. I had the same issue with my car recently, except I don't know about the smell from the exhaust. Get some BG cleaner for $10, that's what worked for me.
