2006 dodge 1500 ram

front brakes have locked up twice om me. first time they released in about 1 hour.   second time I had to bleed brake line for before they would disengage-after I bled line drove about 2 miles home and they every thing worked  fine.  what could cause this-help please

Over time the seals in the master cylinder begin to break down....

I thought of that, but I assumed that when the master cylinder went bad you would not have any brakes.

it can cause retention of pressure in brake lines, thus locking them up..

I believe it may be in the brake hoses going to the caliper. They will brake down internally and collapse.
