Changing spark plugs in a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi

Asked by bkk510 Jun 17, 2008 at 07:10 PM about the 2003 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it very difficult to change the plugs? I'm not a mechanic by any means, but do all the fluid changes myself. Just wondering if it's worth the expense of having the dealer do it or not.

if you feel that you can do it then do so.some may be hard to get to.but it is not a hard job.sometime it is easer to do from bottom of truck or through the finder wells at top of tires.just rember do one at a time, you dont want to have any crossed plug wires.

the right side of the motor is the even side, starting at the front of the motor it goes 2, 4, 6, 8 and the drivers side is 1, 3, 5, 7. Hemi motors are COP (Coil On Plug)
