a hiccup? is that what you are saying? has nothing to do with fears, that was a typo, I got it. Had a tune-up at all recently? vacuum hoses kinda dry and cracked?

it's been awhile ( tune up) / hoses look fine. it feels like it jumps to neutral then back to drive in a half a second then runs fine till I slow down then go thru the gears again

suspect a clobbered EGR valve that goes too slow because the exhaust carbon has slowed the show down....take the two bolts and connector off and give it a bath in brak-kleen, restore function with a couple of squirts of tri-flow, could test the vacuum or 12v operation to make sure it ain't retarded~

EGR is giving you the problem, not showing up as a MAF or MAP calculation error because it's just buggered up!
