Up until yesterday the oil gauge in my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 would go to 0 - the check gauges lite would come on and pressure would be restored just as quickly as it had been lost. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 I'm not sure what is going on but when its cold it runs fine for about 5 to 10 miles then it starts knocking and sounding like the motor is about to go and dies 2 Answers

After about 30-60 mins it starts back up and runs fine again for another 5-10 miles its not low on oil or low oil pressure. If anyone knows anything I would really appreciate it.
