I believe you maybe right. About 4 months ago my abs light came on and
my speedometer was fluctuating. I took out the speed sensor out of the
rear end of my truck and exchanged with a new one. I did notice there
was some metal chunks on the old one. But it did fix the problem. This
time no abs light just abs acting up so I changed speed sensor and it did
not fix problem. When I changed speed sensor before I put new one in I
put my finger in the hole the sensor goes in and I felt the ring and it was
very sharp. Like something hit the teeth. From what I have been reading
Dodge trucks have been having a lot of problems with clips coming off. I
guess this is not going to be a quick fix looks like it will be taking the rear
axle cover off and replacing some parts. I have 112000. Miles on the
truck but its in mint condition other than this problem I guess I have
some work to do. Thank you for your help and confirming a problem that
I suspected I had to fix.
