Alarm system.

Asked by GuruY9W34 Feb 18, 2018 at 11:49 AM about the 2003 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My alarm system has never worked as long as I
owned the Truck. The previous Owner has lost the
Factory keys. Out of the blue the alarm started
going off and now I can’t start my truck. I don’t
have the Factory key, how can I start my truck with
out spending $100’s for a new key.

how old is the truck? does the key fob have a battery or is it a regular key? if its a late 90s to late 2000s and has a regular key then the original key is somewhere in the truck. possibly taped under the dash...witha dead battery.

a friend who has a few company cars would make multiple cheap regular keys for drivers and tape the factory key under the dash to activate the ignition system. saved him big time.

2018 alarm in my Ram 1500 SLT quad cab won’t work.....I’ve looked at the owner’s manual on how to activate it but it won’t arm. Help!!!
