2002 Dodge Ram 4.7 squeaking noise

Asked by Laura Jul 16, 2016 at 04:32 PM about the 2002 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My2002 Dodge Ram makes a squeaky noise but
it's not the pulleys... because it's only when it's
running...sounds like a birdie... somewhere from
the tires or something...Anyone have an idea what
it might be?

That is most likely that the belt is bad if it sounds like it is coming from the front and by the pulleys look and see if the belt is cracked or if there if the belt is smooth and no longer has grooves in it then if it is either cracked or smooth it is the belt I'm positively 100% your belt I'd no good

Spray some WD 40 on your belt, if noise goes away, it's the belt.......replace it because it is worn out.
