Ran without oil! Can i save it? Please help

My dad passed last year and stepmom just gave
me his truck.. after running it out of oil for what
she says was 5-10mi. It starts runs (With oil) and I
have to drive it home and it got me thru the 35min
drive. Makes noises now think it's misfiring. Check
engine is on and mostly blinking also
Please help guys I would like to patch er up if I can

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500.it cranks and idles good but when you pull it down in gear and give it a little gas it starts skipping.spitting and backfires with not much pull.please help.whats wrong with it.?
