what else besides the vacuum switch on the top of the transfer case of a 2000 dodge ram 1500 can be the problem for 4 wheel drive not working.
I replaced the vacuum switch which was bad because the check ball in it was stuck, but it still isn't working. I have found no vacuum leaks in the lines from the switch to the diaphram on the front axle housing. The diaphram itself turns back and forth as though it was loose. Is it supposed to have play like that?
