my flasher keep flashing even tho my truck is off

my 97 dodge ram 1500 slt run very well but when i put some emergency lights and a siren (in a voulenteer firefighter) on my truck my flashers blink when i shut the truck off.. i disconnected the battery during the install and it started when i connected everything back.. also theres a red light on the dash that is bliking also its next to the O/D button and it diddnt blike beofre that either.... if you could help that would be great.. im thinking its my battery maybe i just need a new one ?

"im thinking its my battery maybe i just need a new one ?" --- the problems started when you added a siren and emergency lights. You probably hooked them to the wrong wires. Disconnect them and see if someone at the firehouse can show you what wires to tie into. They might have written instructions since they all have similar equipment.

I have them wired straight to my battery on a switch so thats what makes me think it could be the battery.. But is that why my flashers are going off when my truck is off ?
