I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 automatic. Just got a brand new tranny only two months ago. When I hit the gas my rpm's jump up to 5 and go back down and keep repeating that.

I cant ever hit the gas because everytime I do it radically jolts up my rpms and im scared its gonna mess up my engine.

you need to take that transmission back to wherever you got it.

I have and they have told me four different things. 1, its my tires and they are too big causing it to rub. 2, I its my Cadillac converter, 3, throttle cable 4, vacuum hoses.... I'm so frustrated!
