heater resistor?

a buddy of mine lost his heater in his truck, i have the parts, in a parts truck, he has pulled the heater motor, and wants to know where the resistor would be? its in a 96, idk what hes talking bout

I believe he means the blower motor resistors to control the speed of the fan. It should be mounted in the air box (the compartment on the firewall that contains the blower).

I think it is behind the glove box on the fire wall inside the truck. At least that is what the parts manual says. Let me know if you find it. Mail me at Steelworks@Comcast.net Ric
