got a 96, and this afternoon, i started my truck to let it warm up, and when i turned on the heater, nothing happened, so i checked the fuse, was good, as soon as i put it back in, the heater started working again, only happened to me twice though.
any thoughts?
thanks

Sounds like your heater core my be getting clogged....? Mine cost about $550.00 to replace it.
Well i guess its a good thing i got another truck in my back yard with pretty much everything new, but why would the core being clogged keep the fan from turning? and i dont think it is clogged cuz i do not have a heating issue as long as the fan is turning....... but thanks
my 99 hasoor heater performance unless the engine is reved, my mechanic says the cores get clogged and they fix it by taking the lines off the the heater core and back flushing it , no need to replace the core, just blast it backwards with a garden hose, lots of crap will probably come out and fix the issue
but getting warm isnt the problem, its the fan actually turning when its supposed to, ive already flushed my coolant lines, idk, my truck just likes to give me electrical "fits" sometimes, like my headlights and driving lights kept smoking switch after switch, so now ive got all my lights, interior and exterior on toggle switches, i had to buy a push button for my horn, and now my heater fan is acting up, it hasnt done it in a few days, so i think whatever it is is just something simple and stupid, but thanks for the info its appreciated
Dude kelly you truck is jus a mutha fucking peace of shit
