I have a Dodge Ram 1500 2wd 5.9L 8cyl truck that has been reaching temp & then shuts right off. why?

Asked by Angelina Jul 23, 2013 at 02:50 PM about the 1996 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have changed coil, computer, shut off relay, distributor, and a few other things with no luck. It is fine to start then I hit warm temp & it just dies with no sputter or any warning. I have tried so much now I can't afford to tow it anywhere to do anything more. Help! It is a 96 150 2wd 05.9L 8cyl ext cab long bed.
