Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when i shut the ignition off on my 1996 cummins, the tail lights stay on. when
the pickup is running, the brake lights are on as if my foot was on the brake
pedal, when i turn my blinker on the lights go back to normal untill i switch my
blinker off. any suggestions?

The problem is on the arm of the pedal there is a sensor. This sensor gets loose or out of place so when your foot is off the brake the pin on the sensor doesn't get pushed in all the way and it won't read.
