I have two 1995 dodge ram1500 one is a 2x4 the other is a 4x4 will 4x4 parts bolt up to 2x4 transmission?

Not sure about models on transmission basically wanting to swap out and combine the
two transmissions the 4x4 runs but has been run low on fluid numerous times by
previous owner 2x4 runs great can these transmissions interchange?

it depends if they have the same trany base ...the tail shaft section that bolts to the rear of the trany houses 4th gear the forwar section has to be the same....in other words if the 2x4 is a 42RH and the 4x4 is a 46Rh it will not work...//the 42Rh is a light duty unit with smaller clutches and bands ...also if one is a 5.2L engine and the othe is a 5.9L the torque converters will be different...the 5.9L will have a weight on the face of the converter which is used for crank balancing and can not be used on the 5.2L...you can call your local dealer with the last 9 numbers of the vin and they can tell you what trany each truck has
