1994 dodge ram 1500 blower diverter swithes to defrost upon acceleration why?

my ac diverter will switch from vents to defrost upon acceleration and switch back when you let off the gas. why?

bad check valve under the hood that supplies vacuum to the interior of the vehicle.

check for vacum leak between the engine and firewall on the truck or at or around the reserve tank
