Crank no start, fast crank

Asked by Michael Jul 12, 2020 at 01:36 PM about the 2005 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005, Ford F-250 with the 5.4 3v triton.
While on the highway it did a complete shut down.
Swapped out cam and crank sensors but still
doesn’t start. If I turn the key, it cranks faster than
normal. I have a good fuel but no power to the
injectors.

It threw out 11 codes on a code reader. It has no codes now. I tried a reset by unhooking the battery cables.

That’s what I’m afraid of. Doesn’t explain the no power to the injectors though.

I did write them but I can’t find them anymore. I remember a couple of them being P0141 P0010 P0020 Other than that, I do know that 7 codes were for my injectors running lean.

Sounds like a cam chain issue or perhaps a failed cam phaser. I would try a compression test.
