FORD HAS HAD PROBLEMS WITH WIRES BREAKING IN STEERING COLUMS YOU SHOULD HAVE IT CHECKED BEFORE IT BURNS ON YOU

There was a recall on that problem years ago. Check the Ford Service Bulletin to see if your car still qualifies under the recall, the dealer will do the repair at no cost to you.

On my 2001 my harness connect on the steering column was too short and would pull lose when the wheel was tilted down. I sold it! Too expensive to fix and no recall at the time.
