ZF-6 Transmission noise?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm getting a "groaning" noise coming from my 6spd when I'm coasting. If I'm accelerating, it's fine. Is this normal? The truck has a 181k miles and a new clutch.

two questions, what year is the truck and second, are you sure it the trany? off the top of my head I would say there is a problem with the new clutch you have or there are some spacing issues with your gears, the second is not very likley. does it do it in all gears or one in particular, does it get worse with more or less speed?

It's a 2000. I'm watching some videos on YouTube and I think it's the throwout bearing and/or pilot bearing. The noise is mostly in 4th gear with low speed (35MPH).
