Heater Blower not working
Asked by american08 Jan 11, 2016 at 05:21 PM about the 1999 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The A/C,Heater blower in my 1999 F-250 Super Duty stopped working , I put in a new relay , and changed all three control switches, ( fan, thermostate, and vent controls) . Double checked fuses, all good. Blower motor will work when we run a jumper wire from battery directly to Blower motor prongs.(To test)

Yes, The resistor on blower motor was the first item changed, coils looked rusty from moister. thought that was the problem, but still no blower, so we changed the control switches , but still nothing . Prior to trouble, Everything worked perfect , then blower motor would shut off after running a few minutes, then go on on its own while driving, then go off again. this went on for a couple weeks . Now I only feel heat coming thru vents, but no fan or blower.

Need help my F350 is doing the same and can't figure out the problem
Same thing going on with mine. Blower motor works when directly powered to the battery. Replaced resistor. Still nothing. It worked intermittently, but now nothing.

Did anyone find out what the problem is on this I have the same problem going on in the truck I’m working on the only thing I can think of is the power control module behind the fuse panel but I’m not sure if the power goes through that before it hits the relay

The instrument panel was the issue with ours. Same problems as most would go on and off for a while but then died all together I guess are things are tied into the panel.
