blower motor not working

Asked by amertool Mar 29, 2015 at 09:07 PM about the 2013 Ford Explorer Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the blower motor for the air conditioning/heater has stopped working. I have also noticed that the outside temperature display, on the dash, does not work and the heated seats have quit working. Is there a fuse that controls these?

Did you ever get the problem fixed. I'm experiencing the same issue now. Blower motor doesn't work and temperature doesn't change on display.

The same thing just happened to me with my 2014 explorer. The front and back blowers don’t work and the temp on the dash is blank, although the temp on the center display works. I’m not sure about my heated seats tho. How did you fix the problem?

In my 2018 XLT, a truck sideswiped me on the highway. The result was a new passenger mirror. The shop went cheap rather than OEM, and when I picked up my truck the same issue was happening. No blower at all. Turns out the outside temperature sensor is in the mirror and only the OEM mirror can take it's place. They put the correct part in and the other was solved.... For about a year. Now I'm having the same issue again, however intermittently this time.
