Gas gauge radio and clock not working after someone tried
to steal my car

Not knowing the damage I would hazard a guess that the ignition switch has been damaged to start with. Had to say if the wiring has been damaged or fuses are blown

I would have to agree with GA. Sounds like they either cut some wires or tried to screw with the ignition somehow, check for blown fuses too. Good luck.
