2006 lincoln ls fan is running wild - had it checked and dealer said nothing is wrong. It has never run like this in the past.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has low mileage.  I drive it every day and know its sounds.  A few months ago my
fan started running on high and sounding like a jet winding down when I turn the car off.
The dealer said nothing is wrong with it but I know something has changed.  Help!  I am
leaving on vacation soon and am afraid of being stranded!

My 2001 fan did the same thing a year ago. I found out that I had a hydraulic fan and it failed thus allowing the fan to spin at high speed when traveling. They replaced the entire hydraulic fan assembly. It has worked fine since.
