is the mx-3 rear wheel drive??

Nope. Its drive train is just like the ford probe, and whether its a v-6, I-4, or turbo 4, its still front wheel drive. you can check by looking for a rear differential and noting there isn't one. Cheers.
they ARE FRONT WHEEL DRIVE
Get a wheel going and see where the (tyre) smoke comes from, lay some diesel on the road if need be. (I do not recommend putting diesel on the road its dangerous)
only the the probes had the V6 engine. both had the f2 (I4) and the probe gt and the mx-6 gt had the f2t (I4 turbo)
the mx6 gen 1('88 through '92) came with the 2.2L f2 I4 engine but the probes had a 3.0L option. the gen 2 ('93 through '97) came with the 2.0L I4 and the 2.5L V6
