2006 Subaru Legacy Electrical Problems

Asked by alicenrenaud Nov 16, 2021 at 11:25 AM about the 2006 Subaru Legacy

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I have a 2006 Subaru Legacy with about
75,000 miles on it. My car hates the rain. When
there is a heavy rain it shakes and the check engine
light comes on solid and the cruise control flashes. I
check the error codes and it is always an o2 sensor
but most recently I got codes for
P1518-starter switch circuit low voltage
P0851-park/neutral circuit low voltage
P1152-censor circuit low voltage
P1153-censor circuit high voltage
P0140- o2 censor no activity detected
P1548- ac circuit low voltage
Battery is completely fine, we just checked it. But
yesterday I was trying to reverse and cut the wheel
only to have it stall. When trying to park again hit
stalled twice more. I am going to have the car
towed to a mechanic but does anyone have any
ideas as to what can be wrong? And experience
with a similar Subaru issue? Or any advice on what
I should ask the mechanic/what he should be
looking for? Thank you in advance!

2006 Subaru Legacy Help it sounds to me your 2006 Legacy has PCM/Electric System Malfunction. "Low voltages" "generally" means HIGH Resistance on/or bad GROUND connections, Bad Battery . special Automotive Electrical System tools required for these tests: Check for Battery cell (Strength of Electrolyte) stage of charge between 1.250- 1.280 at each cell and Battery Load no to drop less than 10.5V in 15 Sec ..., If Battery fails any of the above test, replace it. If it does not fails, Check: NEG Battery Cable GROUND to Engine, NEG/GND Strap wire from Engine to Body/Frame/Chassis for solid, tight and free of corrosion connections. Thanks.
