It's never a good idea to buy a high mileage vehicle, you might be on the hook for any number of expensive repairs. Try looking for an owner's manual online for this vehicle and see what service intervals it has, example: transmission service at 75K miles, or replace timing belts at 100K miles. Then check if those have been performed. At this mileage it would likely need suspension parts replaced if they haven't been replaced already. A cheap used car that needs new tires, brakes, struts, or potential timing belt or tranny servicing quickly becomes a not so cheap used car.
