My mk5 2.5l Volkswagen engine has weird
compression but consistent numbers every other
cylender. Cyl 1: 60psi cyl2: 120psi cyl3: 73psi
cyl4:153psi cyl5:89psi. Is this normal or should I be
concerned. It has major crank case ventalation
pressure to the point where it keeps blowing out
valve cover gaskets

ON A FOUR CYLINDER ENGINE THE COMPRESSION SHOULD BE OVER 150 PSI. OR MORE. ALL PSI SHOULD BE CLOSE. HOW MANY MILES ON ENGINE. THE ENGINE IS NOT VENTING. DRAIN THE OIL. INSTALL NEW THINNER OIL AND MYSTERY OIL. TRANS FLUID AND OIL. RUN ENGINE FOR A FEW MINUTES. DRAIN OIL AND PUT IN A 5W 20 OIL OR REFER TO OWNER MANUAL.

317000 miles engine was rebuilt at 180000 somewhere in there but I just figured out the vacuum pump has had a major leak for a long time would that cause very high crank case pressure and mess with compression? The car runs fine has good solid power so I'd think if the rings were actually bad it would run like crap? Not sure
YOU SHOULD NOT NEED RINGS. THERE WOULD BR BLUE SMOKE FROM OIL. FIX THE AIR PUMP.
