That's a symptom of a problem with your EVAPORATIVE Emissions system. That's the system that absorbs gas vapors while filling. After filling, the engine sucks the vapors out fo the charcoal canister and burns them. When something goes wrong with the system, the charcoal canister gets full and can't absorb vapor, so the tank builds too much back pressure and that's what shuts off the nozzle. It your check engine light on? If so, get the codes reac. Here's a post on how EVAP systems work. https://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/evaporative-emissions-system-primer/

You need air to help the fuel go down the filler neck. I suspect the vent is clogged.
