Engine quits for no apparent reason.

The engine will quit for no apparent reason. It will start right up and run for another 10 days (approx.) before it does the exact same thing. There are no codes in the computer. We've had it looked at by 3 different VW mechanics. They've checked the ignition system. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem on my 2003 GLI. It was cutting out when I bought it BRAND NEW. No VW mech could find a problem or reproduce it. When the warranty ran out (big suprise) I took it to a classic VW repair shop and he found that a temp sensor was saying the engine was too cold and was flooding the engine. He replaced the sensor and I haven't had a problem yet!! Funny after I had it towed to a VW dealer twice before for that problem.
