Well the car is shaking when I'm in driving and it pulls real hard its automatic

Lean fuel air trim. Possible Vacuum leak, unmetered air entering intake. It's MAYBE a MAF sensor PCV problem See: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0171

- Intake air leaks - Faulty front heated oxygen sensor - Ignition misfiring - Faulty fuel injectors - Exhaust gas leaks - Incorrect fuel pressure - Lack of fuel - Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor - Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection What does this mean? What does this mean? Tech notes If the P0171 is combined with the P0174 code, it's very likely that the problem is caused by an intake leak. If there are no intake leaks, the next step is to replaced the air filter and clean the air flow meter. If the problem persist the front oxygen (O2) sensor may need to be replaced. he check engine light went o he installed a map sensor. after driving my Jetta, the check engin light is back on. I paid $250.00 for labor and installation of the map sensor. I googled all different websites that sell map sensors and all of them are under the retail price of $83.00 and under the sale price (which auto body shops get) for under $40.00. Any advice from anyone out there? I'm assuming I got ripped off price wise (no getting around that it seems unless you're a friend of the owner or mechanic (Medford FastLube) but now that the check engine light is on I'm wondering from any motor heads out there what your thoughts might be. Any feedback/advice is greatly appreciated. I now have to go back and drop off my car on a Saturday and wait three hours for twenty minutes of actual labor. 9 Answers
