The car will not start now there is no power
did you hook up all the lines back to the alternator ? i would have the alternator checked to make sure the regulator is put in properly. just went threw this issue with my audi. and i would try having the battery tested take it out and bring it to canadaian tire they will charge and test it free of charge hot spot will do the same i believe. there
if the light is on it means there is a problem with the alternator. you need to jump start the car, measure the voltage if less than 13 it is not working. it should be in 13.4volts with a charged battery. check if the regulator is hooked up correctly or if it is the correct part for your car. The sure thing is it is not charging the battery.
There is a brand new battery and I will check the alternator
don't rule out the battery as well it would be safe to have it tested after this as well it may be brand new but its not ment to run your vehicle that is what the alternator is for and it may have blew a cell out due to strain. so once that alternator is fixed have the battery checked and tested as well to be safe.
