Alarm misfunction car won't start

2001 Passat the alarm misfunctioned and now the
car won't start how to I fix it.

when you say alarm dysfunction you mean the alarm randomly goes off for no reason? this problem can often be fixed easy as its a glitch with the motion sensor within the car. get into your car like you normally would no turn and look at he seat belt attached to the pillar look down and shift the seat belt aside there will be a button here. Push and hold till the red light on your door lock goes out. then lock the car as usual. This basically turns off the motion sensor and has to be done every time you go to lock the car. i had to do this for 5 years with my audi you get used to it after a while. hope this helps.
