I have crazy vibration in my 2000 vw gti i have done a axle checked motor mounts and replaced bushings on the intake shifter rod looking for other possibilities

It shakes like crazy every gear and
every speed till I push in the clutch
then the vibration goes away

you gotta get a woodblock and floorjack under the oilpan to push the motor/transmission up and note the separation...is this what you did?

I jacked it up and put on stands the throttle seems to have a strange idle and

very common fault on this model,the differential large gearl rivets come loose and it produces a strange vibration,if they fail alltogether then the gear comes through the gearbox casing and totally knakers the gearbox.pull the gearbox out and the gear can be repaired if caught in time.hope this post helps you mate
