I got a Volkswagen Gti vr6 2000 2.8

My car stopped working on the free way it
started to to stall and then it won't turn off
any one can tell me what could be wrong
with it ?

Is it a direct fuel injection engine? How many miles are on it? If it's a direct injection with more than 80,000 miles, there may be coke deposits built up on the top of the intake and exhaust valves from PCV blowby. This would need to be cleaned from the valves and the tops of the combustion chambers.
