Hi my name is Miguel, i have a Jetta A4 1999 is Europa version i guess, and i have problems with Automatic Transmission of my Jetta, the problem is that don't make well the changes of the speeds?

i only field the issue when i travel more than 80 Km, and in the city i don't have any problem

sounds like the fluid in the transmission either is low or needs to be changed along with the transmission fluid filter.

tkx Sean, Even i changes the fuid and the filter and i steal field the issue, what do you think that is the problem?

since those things have been done my only other guess is its more severe than just fluids. it could also be computer not communicating properly or the gearbox has some issues.

check if the box is greasy with oil, I had a small crack in the outer casing of the box and no matter how many times I topped the fluid up it was going straight out because the crack was too small from the outside to notice, either way you will need to open her up to know for sure

Um I am a huge vw fan. But the truth is they don't have the longevity in the auto trans department. Every manufacturer has a weakness, this happens to be vw's. So Sean, shut it!
