radio in my 2003 Mercedes m class turns on but theres no sound what could be the problem

wouldn't the radio, not be able to be turned on if the fuse was out? I am having problems with mine staying on the Waiting notification. I am thinking now though, that what if it was the fuse to the amp or something else connected to the stereo, besides the head unit? Will troubleshoot.

just noticed he did say the amp fuse. My bad.

I had the same problem. Just replace your fuse & you will be all set. I have aready posted more detail answer on this carguru sight. Please look upmmy earlier answers. Good luck.
