Check your owners manual. It will tell you what is the best oil to put in the car based on your temperature zone.
Mobil 1 synthetic 5W30 or 10W30.
I have a c240 1999 w202 and I have a problem with my coolant level. I have been using the vehicle for a year without having to top up coolant but one day after traveling a 1000km the coolant level light came up and when I checked I realized it had gone down to just below the half level. I topped up with a liter of coolant and another of water. since then I have to top it at least once a week yet before this I had gone for almost a year without the level changing what could be the problem, it seems the are no visible leaks. please help.
Bornfree, your head gasket's probably f****d mate
If you live in the region where is hot weather you always use 5w-40 (any oil brand that meets Benz requirements ) for 1999 Mercedes ( it is recommended by Mercedes Benz). If you don't have 5w-40 then use 0w-40 that has the sign"european formula" any brand like Mobile 1 with eu formula, Penzoil with eu formula, Castrol with eu formula, etc. If you live in COLD region you will still use 5w-40 if you don't have it use 5w-30.
